Case Study

Private School
Fundraiser Film

Created for St. Joseph School’s annual live auction, this emotional 5-minute film helped raise over $100,000 and received a standing ovation.

Project Challenges

Challenge #1

Emotional Connection

The school needed a video that would genuinely connect donors to the impact of their education. The messaging had to feel heartfelt and human, avoiding anything that came across as staged, corporate, or generic.

Challenge #2

Story Authenticity

Parents and students needed to feel natural and comfortable on camera while sharing meaningful stories. This required thoughtful directing, a calm interview environment, and sensitivity to tone and pacing.

Challenge #3

Curriculum Messaging

The school needed to ask donors to fund curriculum updates without implying the current program was inadequate. The message had to build confidence in the present while inspiring support for future growth.

How I Made It Happen

Strategy

I worked closely with the school’s leadership team to define the emotional tone, clarify campaign goals, and shape a narrative that would resonate with donors.

Production

I directed three shoot days, leading interviews and capturing authentic, documentary-style footage that felt natural and emotionally grounded.

Editing

I shaped the footage into a 5-minute emotional arc, combining a custom score, refined pacing, and animated logo for a polished finish.
